Last August, we connected with Jaime about her wedding on May 21st. Her and her fiancé, Nick, have been childhood sweethearts since they were in Kindergarten. Fast forward to now, and they were ready to tie the knot at Trump National Golf Course in Colts Neck, New Jersey. Jaime and Nick had moved to Orlando, Florida and were coming back up to New Jersey to celebrate their wedding day with friends and family.
The wedding day started out hot. Naturally, it was the hottest day of the year (so far) and Jaime and Nick were prepared with a near unlimited amount of water to stay hydrated. Throughout the day, Jaime kept asking us if we were okay and if we wanted more water. She was incredibly accommodating.
We arrived there at 3:00 in the afternoon. Laura took some video of Jaime and the bridesmaids upstairs in the bridal suite, alongside the main photographer, Alex, from Live Picture Studios. I went downstairs and recorded some video of Nick and the groomsmen with the second shooter. Jaime and Nick weren’t planning on having a first look, so we made sure to take video (and photos) in different locations of the venue so Jaime and Nick didn’t accidentally cross paths. I recorded some video of the groomsmen in the back, on the golf green. Laura and the photographer shot photos and videos of Jaime and the bridesmaids in the front of the venue. The photographer and myself also shot photos and videos of Nick and the groomsmen in the men’s locker room. The room had a darker, more rustic vibe to it which looked really nice.
The ceremony started at 5:30pm on the 19th hole. The 19th hole was so beautiful! It was a piece of land that was surrounded by water, with the clubhouse directly behind where Jaime and Nick will be saying their “I do”s. At this time of the day, the sun was beating down directly overhead and there was no shade. We had all stayed hydrated though, and made it through the ceremony. Laura stood towards the back-center of the aisle with two cameras (one wide and one zoomed in) while I alternated left and right to get close up reactions of Jaime and Nick. They both shared their vows with each other, which definitely drew a few tears (definitely, totally not from me).
After saying those two super important words, there was a kiss to seal the deal and confetti shot up in the air as they walked back up the aisle (which was super cool). The main photographer, Alex, and myself took Jaime and Nick on the golf green and got some really great photos and videos of them with their bridal party and with them alone with each other.
After we took photos on the green, we hurried back up to the reception area and got everything ready for entrances. We replaced memory cards in our cameras, along with batteries. Jaime and Nick had a little time to themselves to relax while we were getting ourselves refreshed for the reception.
The reception was great! We had actually worked with the DJ two weeks prior (Posh DJs) at Alyssa and Joe’s wedding at Clark’s Landing in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. The music was great and everybody was super in to being on the dance floor and celebrating with Jaime and Nick. During dinner, Laura and I had the opportunity to eat some Filet Mignon. When the Maitre d comes up to you and asks what you want to eat, and filet is on the menu, you can’t really say no.
We had the best time capturing video and celebrating with Jaime and Nick. They were so amazing and accommodating to us, and we wish them all the best and a lifetime of happiness together!
